Section 1214 will: Amend Section 6 of Chapter 3 of the City Code to prohibit a person from operating an aircraft in a public area of the City of Oceanside, including the area designated pursuant to Section 1605 of the City Code Title 6, unless: The aircraft: Is in a safe position and operation; Has a required certificate for operating an aircraft within the City of Oceanside; Has an authorization from the Department to permit land use under this chapter; Is registered with the Department of Public Safety for civil flight safety purposes; Is operated between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (PT) or the end of a business day or the end of the day before Election Day; and The aircraft: Is not engaged in recreational flying or flight training, or is otherwise not used for any other purpose in the City. Amend Section 2 of Chapter 2 of the City Code to: Prohibit a person from operating an aircraft in an airspace designated for private flight operations.
